Stedman Bailey wants to return to the NFL and the Los Angeles Rams after being shot in the head last year. The receiver is working incredibly hard to do so. TMZ has attained video of Bailey’s rigorous workout routine, and it’s intense.

Bailey’s season (and nearly life) came to a screeching halt in November when he was shot in the head while in Florida. As a result of the incident, Bailey remained in a Miami hospital for two months.

Bailey is still in Miami, but is now working out at Xtreme Fitness gym. TMZ also received quotes from gym owner Gary Sanchez, who’s been training with Bailey and is high on what he’s seen.

“He’s been training with me for 2 and a half months.

“My biggest fear was, ‘Is he mentally going to be ready and has he lost any type of functions?’ But he didn’t. He was ready to go the minute he walked in the gym.”

As far as his NFL future goes … Bailey’s trainer says, “He is physically and mentally ready, definitely ready to go right now.”

Many people who get shot in the head and are fortunate enough to survive aren’t able to put such a rigorous exercise routine together just months afterwards, even if they can live a relatively normal life. The fact that Bailey is doing this in March after being shot in November is nothing short of miraculous.

Whether Bailey makes an NFL comeback or not is secondary to how well he’s recovered. Still, at this point, it’d be safe to say that one would be ill advised to bet against Bailey appearing on an NFL field again.
