Stanford’s Bryce Love cleared to play Saturday against Wazzu

Stanford running back Bryce Love in college football Week 5 against Arizona State

The Stanford Cardinal have a much better chance to win Saturday on the road against Washington State now that Bryce Love has been cleared to play.

Last Thursday without Love, the Cardinal barely squeaked by on the road against Oregon State, of all teams, winning 15-14. And it took a last-ditch effort to get the job done. It just goes to show how much value Love adds to the offense, which managed a total of 81 yards on the ground without him, averaging three yards per carry.

Love is the most explosive running back in the nation this year. He’a averaging 10.3 yards per carry and has already gained 1,387 yards and 11 touchdowns in just seven games.

It’s expected to be snowing when the Cardinal take on the Cougars in Pullman. This could lead to a monster day for Love against a Wazzu defense that just got abused by Khalil Tate and Co. last Saturday in Arizona.
