Last week, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic attended an event along with Novak Djokovic. Now, both stars have tested positive for COVID-19.

After testing positive himself on Tuesday, Djokovic, who’s been famously downplaying the coronavirus pandemic, issued a public apology on Instagram.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Jokic has been asymptomatic since testing positive last week. He’s currently waiting for medical clearance to travel from Serbia to the United States following his positive test.

As news of Jokic’s positive COVID-19 test circulated around Twitter, many in the sports world shared their thoughts.

There is currently a COVID-19 outbreak in Florida, and specifically in Orange County, where Orlando is located. Many around the NBA are growing concerned about the league’s intent to implement a “bubble” to finish out the 2019-20 season. What happened with Jokic and Djokovic (and others who attended) only further accentuates this concern.
