It was pretty much a foregone conclusion. With several baseball franchises having to move on from minor league players during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the expectation all a long was that the 2020 Minor League Baseball season would be canceled.

That’s now come to fruition. It was announced on Tuesday that the entire season has in fact been canceled.

So many lives impacted. From the players and coaches to the fans and other team personnel, this one is a bitter pill to swallow. It’s the first time since the formation of Minor League Baseball back in 1901 that an entire season has been canceled.

Needless to say, the sports world had its reaction to Tuesday depressing news.
