It’s a record for the Premier League and had fans across the pond super excited about the momentous occasion.

A minority owner of the Liverpool Football Club, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James joined in on the celebration here in the United States.

King James is known as a big-time soccer fan and has been rooting on Liverpool over the years. The team’s title came after Manchester City were beaten by Chelsea. It represents Liverpool’s first championship since 1990 and brings it to within one title of matching Manchester for the most ever.

It also comes one day after Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace, 4-0, to set the stage for Thursday’s momentous happenings.

Needless to say, Liverpool fans in the European hub were beyond excited about the long overdue title.
