Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward left Thursday’s season opener with an injury that quite frankly, is one of the worst you’ll ever see. If you wish to see the injury, follow this link but be warned, it’s quite graphic.
The sports world quickly reacted to the injury.
One of the first to respond was Hayward’s former teammate with the Utah Jazz, Rudy Gobert.

Another guy to chime in was Paul George, who had a similar injury while playing for Team USA in the summer of 2014.

Per ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, LeBron James went to check on his opponent.
LeBron James just went into Cavs locker room where Gordon Hayward is receiving medical attention

The Celtics and Cavaliers had to find a way to regroup after the injury. Clearly, that is easier said than done.

Certainly, it won’t be easy. Let’s hope the next injury like that doesn’t come for a long time.
