Sports book sees Eli Manning as worst Week 1 starting QB

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

Eli Manning enters Week 1 with a ton of pressure on his shoulders and a rookie quarterback breathing down his neck.

The New York Giants veteran also has a distinctly negative aura about him when it comes to sports betting.

According to one sports book, Manning is the only starting quarterback out of 32 candidates who is hurting his team when it comes to the point spread in Week 1, per Matt Lombardo of NJ Advanced Media.

It’s remarkable that oddsmakers see a green rookie as having a more positive influence on his team’s chances of winning than Manning. Just an incredible sense of doom surrounding a two-time Super Bowl champ.
