Sporting Kansas City forward Willy Agada had surgery Monday to repair a stress fracture in his left tibia.

The 23-year-old Nigeria native is expected to be sidelined for 12 weeks, according to the team.

Agada has recorded one goal in eight MLS matches (six starts) this season.

He tied for the SKC team lead last season with eight goals in only 12 games (10 starts) after joining the club in June.
