USC basketball lands top 2023 guard Isaiah Collier

Isaiah Collier, ranked as the No. 1 point guard recruit for 2023 by the 247Sports composite, will play his college basketball at Southern California.

Collier, from Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga., announced his choice on Wednesday. The recruiting service lists him as the No. 4 overall player in the class, and he was the only member of the Top 10 who had yet to declare his next destination.

His commitment gives coach Andy Enfield and the Trojans a Top 10 recruiting class for the second straight year. Collier chose USC over Cincinnati, Michigan and UCLA.

“I loved the family atmosphere,” Collier told ESPN of the Trojans program. “My relationship with all the coaches is fantastic. We have a strong bond. We talk about much more than just basketball.”

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Collier averaged 17.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists on the Nike EYBL circuit last spring and shot 44.8 percent from 3-point range, per ESPN.
