The Ohio State Buckeyes are favored by so many points to beat Rutgers it borders on the ludicrous, and someone has just put a ton of money on the Scarlet Knights to beat the spread.
Ben Fawkes of ESPN reported someone laid down $13,750 on Rutgers to beat the 53-point spread.
Rutgers has won twice this year and averages more than two touchdowns less than its opponent on average. Though, the Buckeyes aren’t just any old opponent, it’s worth pointing out.
As if that weren’t bad enough, the Scarlet Knights have only covered the point spread currently in place once in the past three years against Ohio State.
All that to say, that’s a bold strategy by whomever laid down that cold, hard cash in favor of Rutgers somehow doing anything positive against Ohio State.
