One of the biggest questions Manchester United were going to ponder over the next few months was whether to extend Casemiro’s contract or not. But now, the Brazilian midfielder has made his decision.

With his current contract set to expire in June, Casemiro has taken matters into his own hands to confirm that he will be leaving the club at the end of the contract.

Casemiro joined Man United for £60M back in 2022 from Real Madrid, and has since gone on to make himself a key figure and as such, will be remembered fondly by the fans at Old Trafford.

After he struggled in the 2024/25 season with the pace of the Premier League, Casemiro came back fighting. This season, he has been pivotal for United and quite frankly, became an influential player in midfield.

However, with a £300,000-a-week contract at United, his chances of an extension were slim and now he has explained his decision to seek a new chapter elsewhere.
