
Angel Reese has been busy in the WNBA offseason, making the most of her time to engage in other activities while basketball is out of commission.
On Tuesday, it was announced by Netflix that the former LSU forward will be joining the cast of the drama/thriller “The Hunting Wives.”
The TV show, which had eight episodes in its first season, ended in July 2025. Now, the Chicago Sky star will be included as the show gets ready for its second season.
The streaming service announced the casting direction on social media. According to the update on X, Reese will play the role of “Trainer Barbie.”
“Bayou Barbie ➡️ Trainer Barbie,” Netflix posted. “Angel Reese joins the cast of The Hunting Wives in the co-starring role of “Trainer Barbie” 👀 Season 2 is now in production!”

Following the announcement by Netflix, Angel Webb Reese, the mother of the Chicago Sky star wasted no time to express her happiness on X.
“Booked & Busy !!! 🏀👗🎬” Reese’s mom wrote while quoting the original post.
The second season of the movie is expected to be released this year. Fans can watch Reese in the second season alongside stars Brittany Snow, Malin Akerman, Evan Jonigkeit and Katie Lowes.
Angel Reese herself is even a fan of the show and previously gave the creator, Rebecca Cutter, a shoutout on X by asking for a role for the second season.
“Just let me know if you need me for season 2 😉,” the WNBA star had replied to Cutter’s tweet back in August 2025.
Now, it appears her wish has finally come true and it will be interesting to watch how Angel Reese stars in the show when the second season premieres.
