Sister Jean is still a rock star following Loyola’s Final Four clinching win

Sister Jean

As the seconds trickled down in Loyola Chicago’s stunning Elite Eight win over Kansas State Saturday evening, one thing became rather apparent. Not only do the Ramblers have a real chance to win the national championship, team chaplain Sister Jean is becoming a true national treasure.

She was on hand in Philips Arena in Atlanta as Loyola handed the Wildcats a 78-62 loss en route to earning a trip to the Final Four.

We saw Sister Jean play the part of the most popular NCAA Tournament figure on Twitter earlier in the annual event. That’s now obviously going to be taken to a whole new level as Loyola prepares for a date against either Michigan State or Florida State next weekend.

Just ask those who watched the triumphant team in action Saturday.

We’ll never know how Burke found that photo. But it’s all sorts of great.

Just so much awesomeness in two photos.

Yes, Barstool is 100 percent correct here. You have to be next level evil not to be happy for Sister Jean and the Ramblers.

Raw, unadulterated emotion right there.

Your move, France.

Popcorn time, indeed.

That’s the least they could do. Jeez. It’s not like Sister Jean had an omnipresent figure looking out for her team Saturday.

Sorry, but Sister Jean likes winners. She’s not about blowing that 28-3 lead, boss.

That’s really bad, NBC Sports. Let’s try this again.

Much better.

It’s been an experience for all of us, and this isn’t about to end any time soon. If Loyola does indeed find a way to win the title, Sister Jean will move from national treasure to national icon in the matter of minutes. This is her world, and we’re just living in it.
