Former Los Angeles Clippers’ owner Shelly Sterling, ex-wife of Donald Sterling, took her former husband’s “friend,” V. Stiviano to court in order to get back the money that her ex had given to his former lover over the years.
It appears that Mr. Sterling had no right to be buying all these lavish gifts for his lady friend while he was still a married man. Mrs. Sterling was indeed successful in her court case, as Stiviano was ordered to pay $2.6 million million back.
Stiviano tried to convince the judge that since the Sterlings were separated, he had full rights to spend exorbitant amounts of cash on Stiviano. That’s an argument the judge obviously wasn’t buying.
Mrs. Sterling obviously doesn’t need the $2.6 million. Instead, she simply wanted justice against Stiviano.
The $2.6 million that Stiviano must pay back includes $800,000 in cold-hard cash as well as her $1.8 million condo. Not planning to keep any of the money, Mrs. Sterling plans to donate every single last dime to a worthwhile charity.
Justice has now been served.
