Seattle Seahawks Control Their Destiny in the NFC West

According to the standings right now, the Seattle Seahawks would be the No. 5 seed in the NFC playoffs.

With that said, the Seahawks win over San Francisco coupled with the Arizona Cardinals loss to the Atlanta Falcons means that Seattle is just one game back in the NFC West.

Both the Seahawks and Cardinals play each other on December 21 in Arizona, and each team could end the season with a 12-4 record. However, Seattle would claim the title to the NFC West because they would have beaten Arizona two times in this scenario.

Obviously, this is a lot for the Seahawks to focus on over the next month. While winning the NFC West is of course their long-term goal, the team is surely focusing its efforts on their next meeting, which is a road game against the NFC East leading Philadelphia Eagles who stand at 9-3.

For those Seahawks fans, or opposing fans who are curious about who the Seahawks play after the face Philadelphia this week, Week 15 has Seattle hosting San Francisco. Then, Week 16 brings the Seahawks to that road game in Arizona before they host the St. Louis Rams in Week 17.

So, do the Seahawks next four opponents look like slam-dunks, or will they struggle along the way? I am personally thinking that the odds do lie just a bit in favor of Seattle claiming victory in at least three of four of their final four games.
