Seahawks rookie first-round pick L.J.Collier carted off the field

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are expecting big things from rookie first-round pick, edge rusher L.J. Collier, after trading away star pass rusher Frank Clark in the offseason.

Unfortunately, Collier pulled up lame with a lower-body injury during Tuesday’s practice and had to be carted off the field.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter notes that it’s a right leg injury for Collier.

This could obviously be some bad news for the 29th overall pick and his new team. Without Clark in the mix, Seattle needs to get consistent pressure from elsewhere.

If this injury is as severe as it seems, that might be an issue heading into the season.
