Seattle Seahawks starting running back Rashaad Penny missed Wednesday’s practice with a shoulder injury.

Penny is coming off a season-best 151 rushing yards last week in a 48-45 shootout win over the Detroit Lions. He averaged 8.9 yards per carry, adding two touchdowns.

Penny was one of three Seahawks who did not participate Wednesday due to injury. Defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson (elbow) and linebacker Darryl Johnson (ankle) were the other two.

Penny, 26, has 262 yards rushing in four starts this season. Rookie Kenneth Walker III is RB2 on the depth chart.

Jefferson, 29, has eight tackles and a sack in four games (one start).

The Seahawks (2-2) visit New Orleans (1-3) on Sunday.
