In one of the biggest stunners around the National Football League this season, the Seattle Seahawks have reportedly traded Percy Harvin to the New York Jets.
As shocked as some of us might have been by this deal, it apparently caught some Seahawks players by surprise.

It has to be an absolute shock to the team just a couple days away from playing the St. Louis Rams in an important NFC West matchup.
There is no indication one way or another what caused Seattle to make such a drastic move in the middle of the season. Harvin was seen as a locker room distraction in Minnesota with the Vikings, but we have not heard the same chirping coming from the Pacific Northwest.
The team is still on the hook for about $8 million of his signing bonus and will take a dead-money hit of over $13 million by trading the former first-round pick.
