Seahawks’ Doug Baldwin reportedly has torn MCL

The Seattle Seahawks saw No. 1 receiver Doug Baldwin go down with a knee injury in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. When Baldwin returned to the field shortly after, it seemed like everything was fine.

Unfortunately, Baldwin had to eventually exit once again as he was favoring that knee too much.

Now, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Pro Bowler suffered a partially torn MCL in the knee. It’s not yet known how long Baldwin will be out.

It’s going to be a multi-week absence. Outside of that, it really just depends on how the Seahawks and Baldwin plan on going about recovery. Surgery would cost him a nice chunk of the season. But if he’s able to play through it, the receiver would only miss a couple weeks.

A two-time Pro Bowl performer, Baldwin is averaging north of 1,000 yards over the past four seasons. A lengthy absence would be a relatively huge blow for Russell Wilsona and the Seahawks’ offense.
