Sam Darnold made a decision to eschew throwing during the combine in February, but now that decision could come back to haunt him a bit.
As ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted Monday, there is rain in the forecast for Wednesday when Darnold and the other USC players will hold their pro day for NFL teams. And rain or shine, Barkley will be throwing.
Rain is in forecast for USC QB Sam Darnold's Pro Day on Wednesday. But after not throwing at the combine, Darnold will be throwing Wednesday, even in the rain.

Now, it’s important to note that pro days are typically when quarterbacks are setting themselves up for ideal circumstances all around. That’s why Darnold held off throwing at the combine — he wanted everything to be perfect.
Obviously Mother Nature is throwing a monkey wrench into those plans.

Though, some USC fans seem to believe this will only help the young quarterback.

Darnold is pegged by most as one of the quarterbacks expected to be taken very early in the draft. He has some really incredible intangibles that teams love, and during his two years starting for the Trojans he piled up 7,229 yards with 57 touchdowns and 22 interceptions.
Hopefully for his sake, it won’t rain too hard on Wednesday so he can put on the perfect show for NFL teams interested in his services.
