New Orleans Saints veteran tight end Benjamin Watson has had himself a stellar 15-year career in the NFL. It started as a first-round pick of the New England Patriots in 2004 and has spanned four different teams.

Now 38 years old, Watson has announced that he will retire following the 2018 campaign. He announced said retirement in this amazing video posted to the Saints’ official Twitter account.

A Super Bowl champ with the Patriots back in 2005, Watson has tallied 528 receptions for 5,856 yards and 44 touchdowns in his career.

After suffering a torn Achilles with the Baltimore Ravens back in 2016, most figured Watson’s career was over. He returned to the mix strong for Baltimore in 2017, recording 61 catches for 522 yards.

Watson has put up 33 receptions in a part-time starting role for the Saints this season. He hopes to go out with a second career Lombardi Trophy.
