New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton will continue his marriage with the organization for at least another five seasons.
Jay Glazer of the Athletic reported Sunday afternoon that the Saints have signed their longtime head coach to a five-year extension.
With New Orleans since all the way back in 2006, Payton has had one heck of a run in the Bayou. He’s posted a 119-74 record while leading New Orleans to seven playoff appearances in 13 seasons.
The Saints earned the Super Bowl title with Payton leading the charge back in 2009. They are also coming off a 13-win season that ended up controversial fashion.
