New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen announced his 2022 coordinators and other staff members on Wednesday.

Pete Carmichael, 50, returns for his 14th season as offensive coordinator and 17th season with the Saints.

Ryan Nielsen and Kris Richard were named as co-defensive coordinators, filling the post Allen had held since 2015 under former head coach Sean Payton.

Nielsen, 42, will also coach the defensive line for a sixth season. Richard, 42, will direct the secondary for a second straight season.

Darren Rizzi, 51, returns for his fourth season as special teams coordinator and will add assistant head coach duties to his title.

Ronald Curry, 42, was promoted to passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach. He was an offensive assistant with the Saints from 2016-17 before coaching the wide receivers (2018-20) and quarterbacks (2021).

The Saints also hired offensive line coach Doug Marrone and wide receivers coach Kodi Burns.

Marrone, 57, is a former head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars (2016-20) and Buffalo Bills (2013-14). He previously coached the Saints’ offensive line from 2006-08 and most recently did the same job at Alabama in 2021.

Burns, 33, lands his first NFL position after working as an assistant coach in the college ranks at Tennessee (2021), his alma mater Auburn (2016-20), Middle Tennessee (2015) and Samford (2014).
