Saints’ Cameron Jordan trolls Cam Newton with a bottle of wine

The petty is real. It’s outstanding. And there’s absolutely no reason why we all shouldn’t sit back and enjoy it.

Following his New Orleans Saints win over the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Wildcard Playoffs Sunday, Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan absolutely trolled Panthers quarterback Cam Newton in the best possible way.

Here, you will see that Jordan legitimately mailed Newton a bottle of wine to commemorate New Orleans beating the Panthers three times during the 2017 season.

We will give Jordan some credit for not going cheap on the bottle. A quick Google search shows us that a bottle of 2013 Jordan Cabernet wine goes for about $50.00. Not too bad, at all.

It’s also the continuation of what has been a trash-talking battle between the two rivals since each was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Earlier in the season, Jordan called out Newton’s odd sense of style, indicating that he wears a “grandma hat” and a “Coachella onesie.”

Later in the year, Newton clapped back in a big way.

“I didn’t know he was a fan of my dress code. Honestly, he’s paying attention. Nevertheless, that’s flattering to me,” the Panthers’ quarterback said, via ESPN. “f he wants to send me his address I can send him some sauce.”

That was met by Jordan noting that he would in fact send Newton some “sauce,” otherwise known as wine.

Sour grapes, indeed.
