It’s no secret that the Dolphins will be targeting a quarterback early in the 2020 NFL Draft. The organization. Whether Miami trades up for Tua Tagovailoa or even targets Justin Herbert, Fitzpatrick could mentor the rookie and start to open the season until the rookie is ready.

Even if both sides can’t agree to a new contract, Fitzpatrick should still attract plenty of interest heading into his 16th season in the NFL.
