Regardless of what happens in the tournament, Rory Sabbatini will have at least one great memory to take away from the 2019 U.S. Open.

The veteran golfer stepped to the tee on the par-three 12th and delivered an ace.

That’s the first ace in a U.S. Open since Zach Johnson recorded one in 2014. Overall, it’s the 45th hole-in-one in the tournament’s history.

Pebble Beach has seen its fair share though. Rory Sabbatini ace was the eighth in the now six U.S. Opens contested at Pebble Beach. This is the sixth U.S. Open contested there.
