The drama-filled offseason surrounding star third baseman Nolan Arenado and the Colorado Rockies is a thing of the past.
On the trade block throughout the winter, Arenado is currently with the team during the early stages of Spring Training in Arizona.
Whether this All-Star is with Colorado on Opening Day remains to be seen. But he’s not backing down from previous criticism directed at embattled general manager Jeff Bridich.
Arenado claimed earlier in the year that Bridich disrespected him in trade talks with other teams during the offseason. It’s been a contentious past few months for the two sides. That’s for sure.
Recent reports suggest that the third baseman will not be moved ahead of the start of the regular season.
One of the best all-around players in the game, the 28-year-old Arenado is hitting .303 while averaging 39 homers and 123 RBI over the past four seasons.
