It appears that trash talking could start anew with the 2019-20 NBA season likely set to resume within the matter of the next two months.

The league of petty has been on hiatus since the season itself was suspended back on March 11. But now that the Association has a plan to resume the season, we can expect this petty to pick up again.

In talking to members of the media on Thursday, Rockets general manager Daryl Morey reengaged on the debate about whether former NBA MVP James Harden is an all-time great. The boisterous Morey, looking like quarantine had taken from some of his hygiene, also indicated that anything less than winning the NBA title this summer/fall would be a disappointment.

To be clear, James Harden was playing at a high level when the season was suspended due to the ongoing pandemic. The 30-year-old guard was averaging 34.4 points, 6.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game. He also showed a ton of improvement on the defensive side of the ball.

As it relates to the Rockets, they have nothing less than a disappointment. Houston entered the season with NBA title expectations, only to post a 40-24 record. That’s currently good enough for the sixth seed in the Western Conference.
