Robinson Cano, who recently suffered a fracture in his hand after being hit by a pitch, will reportedly have plenty more time to heal up after being suspended 80 games for violating the MLB joint drug agreement.
Tuesday morning, Hector Gomez reported Cano would be suspended for steroid use. Not long afterward, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic confirmed that report, noting the length of the suspension.

Cano has appeared in 39 games thus far for the Seattle Seahawks this year. He’s batting .287 with four home runs, 23 RBI and 24 runs scored.
The Mariners are currently third place in the American League West, just 1.5 games behind division leader Los Angeles. Losing Cano will certainly test this team over the course of the next few months.
