When Rob Gronkowski’s football career is over, there’s at least one thing that he’d like to do. In an interview with Katie Nolan for Draft Kings, Gronk said that one of his aspirations is to become a part-time WWE wrestler.
The gimmick practically writes itself for the New England Patriots star. With a nickname like “The Gronk,” he’s got a built in stage name. With his size, he’s got instant credibility. And given how well known Gronk already is and how big the tight end’s personality is, it also wouldn’t take much to get him over with the fans.
As if all of that wasn’t enough, Gronk already has a friend in the WWE with former NFL player and current superstar, Mojo Rawley.

There’s certainly some possibility of a tag-team there. If that doesn’t work, maybe one of the two can turn on the other, setting up a former friends turned bitter rivals grudge match.
Regardless of storyline, Gronk coming to the WWE and the world of professional wrestling would only bring good things.
