Richard Sherman was absolutely roasted by Davante Adams during the NFC Championship Game, prompting former NFL star Darrelle Revis to take a swipe on Twitter. After the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers, Sherman hit back.
Here’s the play that caused Revis to take to social media and call out Sherman.
After watching this play, Revis sent the following message out on his Twitter account, ripping Sherman for being a zone cornerback, unlike himself:
For what it’s worth, Sherman would later make the game-sealing interception against Aaron Rodgers.
Well, after Sherman and the 49ers celebrated in the locker room, Sherman of course went onto social media and saw what Revis had posted.
Here’s how he responded:
Then, deciding his first swipe at Revis wasn’t good enough, Sherman proceeded to rip Revis for his grammar:
Naturally, Revis responded:
Then, Sherman decided he needed to get the final word in:
It’s pretty stinkin’ hilarious that these two absurdly dominant players would do this for everyone to see. Revis, in his day, was so good that he routinely got zero help over the top as he locked down the league’s top receivers one-on-one.
Sherman, though he did get roasted Sunday night in Santa Clara, is a future Hall of Famer himself and is having a phenomenal year for the 49ers.
