One thing can be counted on when a Rex Ryan coached team is taking on the New England Patriots. Ryan will make a few jokes at the expense of Bill Belichick. The Buffalo Bills’ coach has not disappointed in the days leading up to the Week 4 showdown.
Ryan opened his press conference Monday in a very Belichick-like fashion, saying “Alright, we’re gonna start with the injury report. You’ll get it on Wednesday. Simple as that. I gotta turn it in.”

This came not even 24 hours after making light of New England’s quarterback situation.
“I can sit back and say ‘I don’t care who plays quarterback,’ because I know (Tom) Brady ain’t,” Ryan said, H/T, Matthew Bove of WKBW in Buffalo. “Steve Grogan can play quarterback. If Belichick is playing quarterback, were coming after him. I can promise you that.”
Ryan is never boring, especially when New England’s legendary coach is the subject. To be fair, though. In the same press conference where Ryan mocked Belichick, he also offered his rival the highest possible praise.
Rex Ryan also said of Bill Belichick, "As a coach, that's the guy. He'll go down as probably the best in the history of the game." https://t.co/1BVmq4pv1r

While Ryan certainly knows how to have fun, it’s good that he knows what he’s up against.
