The New England Revolution sent their 2024 international roster spot to Charlotte FC and received $175,000 in general allocation money in return on Friday.

The Revolution will receive $75,000 of the money this year, with the rest paid in 2025.

The international roster spot became available when Revolution forward Giacomo Vrioni received his green card in January.

New England opens the 2024 MLS season on Feb. 24 at D.C. United. Charlotte’s opener is the same day against New York City Football Club.
