Free agent right-hander Frankie Montas is signing a one-year, $16 million deal with the Cincinnati Reds, multiple outlets reported on Saturday.
Montas, 30, made just one appearance last season with the New York Yankees after undergoing surgery on the labrum in his pitching shoulder.
He owns a 37-35 record with a 3.90 ERA in 130 games (99 starts) for the Chicago White Sox (2015), Oakland A’s (2017-22) and Yankees (2022-23).
