The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams pulled off a trade last week that will send the elite cornerback, Marcus Peters, to Los Angeles in 2018.
The trade won’t officially go through until the new league year begins, but now we have some details about what the Rams gave up to land the talented cornerback. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL media, Los Angeles will send a fourth-round pick this year and a second-round pick in 2019 in exchange for Peters.

Adam Schefter of ESPN notes the Chiefs are also sending a sixth-round pick to Los Angeles in the deal.

This is a pretty reasonable deal for both parties.
The Chiefs had reportedly grown tired of dealing with the challenges Peters presents — he got into an argument with a coach after throwing a penalty flag into the stands last year, resulting in a one-game suspension — but needed to get something in return for his talents. While the picks may not seem to add up to Peters’ value, it was obviously the best deal the Chiefs were going to find.
The Rams are dealing with a tight cap situation and couldn’t afford to bring back cornerback Trumaine Johnson. So landing Peters on the back end of his rookie deal was huge for them.
All things considered, this was a win-win for everyone.
