After having made the biggest splash of the young MLB offseason by adding reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton, the New York Yankees are turning their attention to pitching.

Already linked to at least one top-end starter on the trade market, the Yankees have reportedly re-signed veteran CC Sabathia to a one-year, $10 million contract.

Sabathia, 37, had flirted with joining the Los Angles Angles, but that came to an end when they added Shohei Ohtani earlier in the offseason.

A former Cy Young winner and six-time All-Star, Sabathia pitched to a 14-5 record with a 3.69 ERA and 1.27 WHIP in 27 starts for the Yankees last season. It represented his best single-season performance since all the way back in 2012.
