The rebooted XFL is set to launch in January, 2020. While a previous report from ESPN’s Darren Rovell had noted that former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel would be ineligible from the league, Rovell later clarified that report to say that Manziel has yet to be ruled out.
Clarification: Johnny Manziel has not been specifically ruled out of playing in the XFL at this time.

Manziel, who has at least one offer in Canada, has recently noted that he plans on returning to football quickly.
If he’s not ruled out of the XFL, Manziel certainly carries the kind of big name recognition that the league should covet in its early stages.
