This makes no sense at all from a Golden State Warriors perspective. According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Golden State is willing to part with David Lee and Harrison Barnes in exchange for New York Knicks big man Tyson Chandler.

Outside of the fact that Lee has been a more productive overall player over the past couple seasons than Chandler, the idea of adding Barnes to the mix in any potential deal including those two veterans is beyond ridicilous.
The thought process for Golden State here has to be to team Chandler up with fellow big man Andrew Bogut in an attempt to go up against DeAndre Jordan, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers, who it lost to in the NBA Playoffs this past season.
Chandler has one year remaining on his contract at $14.6 million, while Lee is owed $30.5 million over the next two seasons. That’s also important to take into account, as the Warriors would then target one of the big names in free agency either this summer or next offseason.
