In an attempt to turn this ship around, the Minnesota Vikings have reportedly hired former Houston Texans and Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak in an advisory role.

Kubiak coached the Broncos from 2015-16 before abruptly resigning due to health issues. He was still a member of the organization up until last week with the expectation that he might take over the offensive coordinator role under first-year head coach Vic Fangio.
That never came to fruition.
Instead, the Broncos opted to let Kubiak seek other jobs. After meeting with the Vikings’ brass on Monday, he was hired in this role.
Kevin Stefanski will remain offensive coordinator. Meanwhile, Kubiak’s son will take over as quarterbacks coach in hopes of turning Kirk Cousins’ career around.
One of the most-respected offensive minds in the NFL, Kubiak led the Texans and Broncos to a combined 82-75 record as head coach.
