Three Counter-Strike: Global Offensive coaches, who had been suspended as part of the coaching bug scandal, have been cleared to participate in major tournaments, Dot Esports reported.
Anton “ToH1o” Georgiev, formerly the coach of Luminosity, and ex-Nexus coach Alessandro “Apoka” Marcucci announced the successful appeals of their suspensions on social media. Nicholas “guerri” Nogueira commented on his appeal on an ESL Pro League Season 17 broadcast on Wednesday.
Currently the coach of FURIA, guerri could find his way back to the majors first. The next event is the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, which will be held in May.
Valve banned the coaches after evidence gathered by the Esports Integrity Commission. ToH1o and guerri had been banned until after the second major of 2023, while Apoka was banned permanently, Dot Esports reported.
