Report: Texans keep TE Dalton Schultz on 3-year, $36M deal

The Houston Texans re-signed tight end Dalton Schultz to a three-year, $36 million contract, with $23.5 million fully guaranteed, NFL Network reported Tuesday.

Schultz, 27, was second on the Texans with 59 receptions last season for 635 yards and five touchdowns. It was his first season in Houston after five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

In the Texans’ Week 9 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Schultz had a season-best 10 receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown.

A fourth-round draft pick out of Stanford by the Cowboys in 2018, Schultz has 270 career receptions for 2,757 yards and 22 TDs in 90 games (59 starts.).
