Report: Teams calling Nuggets about Kenneth Faried

After signing All-Star forward Paul Millsap earlier in the week, the Denver Nuggets are likely going to be looking to sell off a couple contracts. There’s no better candidate than fellow forward Kenneth Faried, who has become expendable due to the acquisition of Millsap.

Now, according to this one report, teams are calling Denver about the 27-year-old forward.

Faried is coming off the worst statistical performance of an otherwise solid career. The former first-round pick averaged 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds during the 2016-17 campaign. It was the first time in his six seasons with the Nuggets that Faried came primarily off the bench.

Despite this, there’s going to be some solid interest in his services. Here’s a guy that averaged 12-plus points and eight-plus rebounds during his first five seasons in the NBA.

Faried has two years remaining on his contract at just under $27 million. In today’s basketball landscape, that’s somewhat of a tremendous value for a multi-dimensional big man.
