The Golden State Warriors won the 2015 NBA Finals, and their potential to improve certainly didn’t drop with the latest acquisition.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, future Hall of Fame point guard Steve Nash is joining the franchise as a part-time player development consultant.

As if the Warriors needed any more firepower.

“This is like giving the Incredible Hulk a machine gun,” ESPN’s Amin Elhassan tweeted shortly after Stein broke the news.

Nash spent 18 seasons in the NBA, playing a majority of his career with the Phoenix Suns—where now-Warriors coach Steve Kerr once served as the general manager—and Dallas Mavericks before finishing as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The point guard earned eight All-Star nods, seven All-NBA honors and two league MVP awards. Additionally, Nash ended his career with 10,355 assists—one more than former Warriors coach Mark Jackson and good enough for third place in NBA history.

Nash’s outstanding basketball mind should come in handy for a player you might have heard of: Stephen Curry, the 2014-15 MVP who is now entering his prime. Even if Nash is officially working a part-time role for the Warriors, Curry and the rest of the roster will benefit immensely from advice the legendary star provides.

Sometimes, the rich indeed get richer. Nash’s move certainly fits that billing.
