Report: Steelers sign Joe Haden to two-year, $22 million extension

The Pittsburgh Steelers like what they’ve seen from veteran corner and former Pro Bowler Joe Haden since picking him up from the division rival Cleveland Browns following the 2016 season.

It led to Pittsburgh signing the former first-round pick to a two-year, $22 million extension on Sunday that will keep Haden in a Steelers uniform through the 2021 season.

The No. 7 overall pick back in 2010, the 30-year-old Haden has recorded 83 tackles, 19 passes defended and three interceptions in 26 games (all starts) with Pittsburgh over the past two seasons.

Haden’s best performance came as a member of the Browns back in 2013 when he recorded 20 passes defended and four interceptions. The Florida product also picked off six passes as a rookie back in 2010.
