Report: Greg Hardy drawing interest from several teams

Former Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy didn’t draw much interest during the first wave of free agency over the past week-plus.

This isn’t due to Hardy’s inability to perform at a high level on the football field. Instead, it’s all about his domestic violence case off the field and subsequent actions during his one year with Dallas that has teams apparently avoiding him.

That might be coming to an end here shortly.

According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, several NFL teams are currently interested in signing Hardy.

The not-so-surprising tidbit from Cole’s report suggests that said teams want to remain “under the radar” in pursuit of the 27-year-old former Pro Bowler.

It’s going to be interesting to see which teams surface as possibilities. As a pure 4-3 defensive end, that will eliminate a ton of teams out there who run 3-4 schemes.

Though, this wouldn’t narrow down the field to give us a realistic shot at finding out who the interested teams might be.

Hardy recorded 35 tackles and six sacks in 12 games with the Cowboys last season. He was suspended for the first four games after seeing his initial 10-game ban shortened on appeal.
