Report: Sam Bradford the likeliest of all Vikings quarterbacks to re-sign

Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford on Monday Night Football

The Minnesota Vikings have one of the most unique quarterback situations in the league. All three of their quarterbacks are slated to become free agents. Though according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Vikings may have reason to re-sign quarterback Sam Bradford.

Rapoport said that head coach Mike Zimmer “loves” Bradford and that he is highly respected by the Vikings organization. He also said he could envision the Vikings keeping Bradford especially if they strike out trying to land another quarterback. We all know that would be Kirk Cousins.

But, Bradford would need to pass a physical to stand the best chance of straying with the Vikings. It is no secret that health issues have plagued Bradford since the start of his career which began in 2010.

Bradford has been with the Vikings since 2016 and has played only 17 games. Though very accurate, Bradford has a 71.8 completion rate with the Vikings.

Once free agency kicks off, more will become clear as to Bradford’s future in the league.
