What’s a 33-year-old running back worth these days? That’s what Adrian Peterson wants to find out.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Washington Redskins want him back, but Peterson is expected to test the free-agency market.
Last year in his age-32 season, Peterson did an incredible job for Washington.
He averaged 4.2 yards per carry going for 1,042 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground, adding 20 catches for 208 yards and a score through the air.
It stands to reason that Peterson not only wants to get paid this year, but that he also wants to play for a winner. He doesn’t have a lot of time left in the NFL, and it’s pretty clear that Washington won’t be contending any time soon.
