A video leaked to Twitter immediately prior to the start of the 2016 NFL draft allegedly showed former Mississippi offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil taking a hit of marijuana from a gas mask.

This was all the talk surrounding the draft Thursday evening:

With two fellow offensive tackles going off the board in the top 10, Tunsil still found himself waiting in the green room.

It’s an unfortunate situation for a player many had pegged as being the top overall pick just a month ago. It’s also a situation that Tunsil might have very well put himself in.

It was reported on Thursday evening that at least one team took the offensive tackle completely off its draft board:

Instead of going Tunsil with the sixth pick, the Baltimore Ravens decided to select former Notre Dame standout Ronnie Stanley.

Considering the NFL’s archaic policy on marijuana, this has to be seen as a serious issue for the potential franchise left tackle. This despite the fact that the video is said to be as much as five years old.

Tunsil ended up going to the Miami Dolphins with the 13th pick. Yes, this leak ended up costing him millions in cold hard cash.
