The NFL is considering postponing or a venue change for “Monday Night Football” in Week 11 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams. This is due to very poor field conditions at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

And based on a new report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it would be wise do make the change.

The turf at Azteca Stadium was wrecked, thanks to a concert last week.

There is work being done to fix the turf, but players have every right to be concerned about playing on that surface.

Given both the issue of player safety, and the extreme high-profile nature of both the Rams and Chiefs, the league should make the call to move the venue. Postponing this contest at this point in the season isn’t a smart decision.
