The Oakland Raiders selected Gareon Conley out of Ohio State with the 24th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. Now he’s headed to Houston for a third-rounder.
Vic Tafur of The Athletic reported this news on Monday.
In light of this trade comes this rather interesting perspective:
For what it’s worth, Conley started 14 games last season and all six of Oakland’s games this season. In 23 career games he has tallied 67 tackles, four interceptions and 18 passes defensed.
Now he joins a Texans secondary that desperately needs help, and he’ll get to play the team that just traded him in six days.
Though, it’s worth pointing out that Conley was routinely burned by Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
